In 2008 Activetics was developed by Wayne Bishop, driven by his desire to see more being done to address the needs of mature workers in Australia. Rebranded in 2019, Changing Gears is now a formidable workforce planning business that supports organisations in providing cost effective solutions to challenges driven by an ageing workforce.

Changing Gears is now a well recognised business that specialises in planning, policy development and interventions for businesses driven by ageing workforce challenges. We tailor solutions based on organisational need, and work collaboratively with senior leadership providing an experienced team of consultants, coaches and partners in delivering our programs and services. Changing Gears operates across a diverse range of work environments that include government agencies, manufacturing, mining, health, transport, power, communications, retail and industry associations.

Wayne Bishop
PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT

Wayne Bishop is founding Director of Changing Gears, a workforce management consultancy delivering Mature Workforce Transition Methodology to Australian business. A former General Manager in the corporate Health Industry, Wayne has more than 40 years experience managing the risk of ageing workforces. His insight into the pressures and realities of Human Resources departments across business sectors means he provides invaluable objectivity and guidance in managing the talent cycle over time.

Norm Cockerell
PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT

Prior to Changing Gears, Norm’s international senior executive career in Australia and across Asia focused on leading businesses in the Financial Services, Insurance and Health sectors. This wealth of expertise focused on business growth, operational effectiveness and cultural transformations. Norm now plans, manages and executes Changing Gears strategies that provide clients with the information they didn’t know they needed to transition to the next phase of their life after work.

CEO - CAREER MONEY LIFE

Sandy Hutchison is the Founder and CEO of Career Money Life. A disruptive, innovative and award winning HR marketplace business providing employees and organisations the power of choice in career transition, parental leave programs, transition to retirement, mental health & wellbeing services and financial advice. Before founding her own startup, Sandy was an Asia Pac Human Resource Director at a global professional services firm, and previously a Partner in a global human resources consulting firm. Sandy continues to consult with organisations on gender equality issues and works as a mentor to senior women.

Deborah Seeber
BUSINESS LEADER

Deborah Seeber has spent many years building and harnessing her experience as a senior HR leader that spans a multitude of organisations, industries and has enabled her to work across the globe. Using this breadth of HR knowledge and leadership she has led large scale people change programs and cultural transformations in strong unionised and non-unionised environments. Deborah is focussed on developing strategies that solve real business problems and ensuring that the execution of these programs are enablers for both the organisations and the people who work within them.

Lindsay Vanstan
CENTRELINK SPECIALIST

Lindsay joined KeyPlay Financial Services, Ballarat in January 2008 after a distinguished 37 year career with Centrelink. In that time he has helped many people across Ballarat and the surrounding districts and in his last 10 years with Centrelink, Lindsay was the Financial Information Service Officer for the Ballarat region. Lindsay finished work at Keyplay in June 2018 to concentrate more attention on his consultancy services.

For the last 20 years, Alan has been assisting people prepare for retirement, dealing with them at all stages of their lives from commencement of their employment, through to and in retirement. Along the way he has built up many rewarding relationships and friendships. Alan can assist people understand the maze of rules within Centrelink, so that they can maximise their entitlements in retirement. He enjoys helping people with the knowledge and experience he has accumulated.
